After formatting of the C drive, I have seen that its content, about 120 GB, was transferred to the D drive and I can't access the previous files on D. How can I get my files back on D?

If you haven't used any writing operations on the D drive, then use Stellar Phoenix File Recovery Plus to get the content back. The clusters should be fine even the data was recovered to D. However, this is rather unusual to happen with recovery applications. Start the software, then access the Settings menu and make sure to uncheck "Backup to free drive".
